The Purpose of PRO

To promote the interests of RWA members who have submitted at least one completed manuscript but have not yet been published by an RWA recognizedpublisher; and, to enhance communication between those members and publishing professionals.

Why would you become a PRO?

  1. The PRO Craft PRO-Org-subscribe@yahoogroups.com This is the list for Pro members to discuss RWA-related business, chapters, and the organization as a whole. It is also where RWA makes PRO announcements on everything from agent and editor appointments to PRO bootcamps, booklets & newsletters.
  2. The PRO Ask-an-Author forum gives members a chance to ask questions of published authors and industry professionals on topics ranging from craft techniques to career planning.
  3. At the RWA National Conference, PRO members enjoy PRO track workshops, a PRO Retreat, and are scheduled ahead of general attendees for editor and agent appointments. Additional workshops are offered before National and throughout the year for PRO members.
  4. On the RWA PRO Members Only pages, you'll find information on contracts, articles of interest to members, chapter PRO liaison contacts, the PROspects Newsletter and other information you need.
